Check out the December 2011 issue of 8-Lug Magazine for a great tech article titled “A Semi-Custom Build for an Average Guy”. It’s all about installing the BDS 6” 4-Link suspension lift and fitting a set of (6) 35′s on a newer Ford F350 Dually. Whether you’re looking to improve performance, gain some ground clearance, or just improve the look of your late model Super Duty, BDS has lift options from 1” to 8” to get the job done. Check out the article as Todd Headlee of 8-Lug Magazine walks you through the finer points of the lift install, new age tire balancing, and alignment on a 2008 Ford F350 dually at Big O Tires in Lake Havasu, AZ. The article is full of useful tech and includes photos to walk you through the install.

As Todd puts it “Known for its sterling reputation, BDS offers lift kits with a added bonus: the security of knowing you purchased the finest lift kit in the aftermarket industry. The company backs its commitment to engineering reliable, quality 4×4 off-road Jeep and truck suspension products with a unique No BS Hardcore Lifetime Warranty.”

Over the past couple year there’s been a phenomenon that has taken off-road racing by storm. A mix of high speed desert racing and extreme rock crawling that tested man and machine in ways unlike ever before. 5 years after exploding onto the scene, the event that started it all, the King of the Hammers (KOH), is just 2 short weeks away. Each year KOH brings thousands to the hostile desert terrain of Johnson Valley, CA and converge in what’s known as Hammertown. Part party, part vendor show, part garage, this town is build from nothing each year as over 30,000 come to experience the action. The action starts February 3rd as race competition buggies, UTVs, and daily drivers make the trip out into the desert to compete in various classes to be crowned the

King of the Hammers. With qualifying races and smaller classes taking up much of the week the main even is is scheduled for Friday, February 10th.  For the full details, maps, schedule, and live race updates, check out Ultra 4 Racing.

This year for KOH, BDS is teaming up with Team Desert Concepts in car #4454 as they compete for the crown. After winning 1st place in Class 4400 2011 Best in the Desert (BITD) Championship, the team of JT Stephens and Bryan Grigsby is ready to take on KOH. The rig has been in the shop over the past few weeks getting prepped for the race, stay tuned for updates as KOH nears.

So I found this on the web earlier today and thought it was a great testament to how we stand behind our products. Phil Howell, Editor-in-Chief of 4Wheel Drive Magazine posted a story about a Jeep braking one of the BDS 5” leaf springs after 11 years of faithful service out on the red rocks of Moab, Utah. One call to BDS and the spring was warrantied thanks to the No Fine Print Warranty that comes with each and every one our lift kit. To see the full story, check out 4Wheel Drive Magazine.
