Students in the John Hersey High School’s Automotive/CAD/M&T class have been getting hands on training on their class Jeep XJ Cherokee. A 6.5″ BDS Suspension long arm kit was installed by the students earlier this school year along with many other customizations. These pictures show the year end results of this project. BDS wishes the John Hersey class of 2009 the best of luck in their future careers and many happy and safe days on the trails.
Sal came back to school today and apparently had a good time with his new lift over the weekend.
We added another BDS lifted Jeep to the Hersey garage this weekend. Sal Canale ordered a 3″ lift kit for his 08 JK from Attitude Performance in Arlington Heights, IL and picked up a set of Dunlop Mud Rover 35×12.50 to mount on 17×8 Cragar Soft 8′s. We started installing the lift just after 10am and the truck was back on the road by 12:30. Everything fit perfectly and the truck rides great.
Progress on the truck has picked up again. We have fixed both rear corners of the truck and patched all the holes in the doors with new sheet metal. We then covered the bottom line of the truck with Herculiner. Read more…
The students at John Hersey High School designed a custom bumpers using AutoDesk Inventor. They cut out the panels, their school logo, and Jeep with a CNC plasma cutter and then welded it together. Two auxillary lights and 3/4″ D rings were added. They fabricated a back bumper and cut BDS into it. Both bumpers were powdercoated and the cutouts will be backlit.
