4″ Lift Kit— 2009-2012 Ford F150

View kit online

Coldwater, MI—January 23, 2012— BDS Suspension has expanded its suspension options for the late model 2009-2012 Ford F150 trucks. In addition to the existing 2.5″ and 6″ suspension lift kits, BDS now offers a 4″ suspension lift allowing clearance for up to 35” tires while improving the overall ride and handling.

Based on the popular high clearance kit design, the 4″ lift includes a pair of one-piece, 1/4” laser cut crossmembers tied together by the differential skid plate to improve ground clearance and off-road protection. New CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles maintain proper steering and ball joint geometry and work congruently with the vehicle’s factory traction control system. Front strut spacers allow for easy installation and OE style ride quality. Also included in the BDS 4″ front suspension are differential drop brackets, sway bar relocation brackets, a weld-in frame gusset, a driveshaft spacer, and cam bolts allowing for proper installation and alignment of the vehicle.

In the rear, the factory blocks and shocks are replaced with your choice of BDS-5500 shocks or Fox 2.0s along with a new 4″ steel fabricated dual pin block to net 3″ of lift and level out the truck’s stance.

The 4″ suspension is available for both 4WD and 2WD F150 trucks. For more info on this kit check out bds-suspension.com or call (517) 279-2135.

6” Lift Kit— 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD

View kit online

Coldwater, MI—December 8, 2011— 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD truck owners can rejoice; BDS Suspension has a new 6″ suspension lift kit available. Based on the popular high clearance kit design, the lift is designed to fit the new front differential assembly in the 2012 models. The kit centers around a pair of one-piece, 1/4″ laser cut high clearance crossmembers, tied together by the differential skid plate, designed to improve ground clearance and off-road capabilities.

The replacement steering knuckles reduce installation time as well as maintain proper steering and ball joint angles. A differential skid plate is included for off road protection. The system also includes bump stop drops, anti-sway bar links, 3 point differential drop system, strut relocation brackets, and front stainless steel brake lines.

Due to the OE ride height variances, BDS allows you to customize your desired stance by offering both 3″ or 5″ rear Pro-Ride coils that are capable of being smashed totally flat and will come back to normal ride height. The rear for this Dodge Ram lift kit is completed with a track bar bracket, upper link relocation brackets, and sway bar links.

Rear 5500 series hydraulic shock absorbers are included with BDS by Fox 2.0 series gas shocks available as an upgrade.

Improved geometry is achieved with ductile iron, CNC machined steering knuckles which are supplied to ease installation as well as work perfectly with the new BDS crossmembers. There is no change in turning radius, and the system works with the factory stability control system.

The rear is lifted with BDS Pro-Ride coil springs that are capable of being smashed totally solid and still coming back to normal ride height. In addition, rear bump stop extensions and control arm relocation brackets are included to properly lift the rear of your Dodge.

For more info on this kit check out bds-suspension.com or call (517) 279-2135.

#124314 Jeep Wrangler JK Exhaust Extensions

New for 2012 is the Pentastar 3.6L in the Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited models. For those of you looking to lift your new 2012 JK, the factory exhaust crossover pipe is in close proximity to the front driveshaft limiting the amount of droop to about 2” before they come in contact with each other. To combat this problem BDS Suspension has developed exhaust extensions (#124314) to relocate the crossover pipe rearward allowing for addition clearance and full range of motion of the front driveshaft with 3” of lift.  The extensions are precision machined from 2.5” x .250” wall DOM tubing to fit the factory ball/taper seat connection properly for a leak-proof seal.  Thick-walled tubing is used to ensure the extension will not deform under extreme heat conditions.  Longer hardware is included to compensate for the added extension length and allow the reuse of the factory clamp collars. Installation is a breeze and can be done in a matter of minutes with basic hand tools. For more info on this kit, contact BDS Suspension at (517) 279-2135 or bds-suspension.com

Press Release #113 – Fox 2.0 Performance Series Shocks for BDS Lift Kits

Coldwater, MI– August 23, 2011– BDS Suspension and Fox Racing have teamed up and are proud to announce the release of a full line of Fox 2.0 Performance Series Shocks.  BDS and Fox engineers developed this monotube shock with compression and rebound valving tuned specifically to optimize the ride and performance of your BDS equipped rig. The Fox 2.0 is an upgrade option for most BDS Suspension kit applications and is designed  to be a direct bolt in for easy installation.

The Fox 2.0 features specially formulated race oil and a cold-forged, metalimpacted 6061 T6 aluminum body capable of dissipating heat 3 times faster than conventional steel body shock improving overall performance and longevity.

Case hardened 5/8’’ chrome shafts provide extreme durability and cnc-machined type II hard black anodized aluminum components provide a rugged fade free finish.

Unlike the emulsion shocks you may be familiar with, this new monotube performance shock features an internal floating piston (IFP) designed to separate Fox’s formulated race shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen charged gas chamber.  This constant pressure eliminates oil aeration and foaming, providing a consistent, predictable ride under the roughest driving conditions with fade-free performance.

Designed and tested for BDS Suspension applications, these shocks are ready to bolt on and perform, not to mention look great right out of the box. Get the most out of your ride today with BDS Suspension and Fox 2.0 Performance Series shocks.
