This past weekend BDS Rep Ted Yearling made the trip out to Fort Collins, CO for Bullhide 4×4‘s Open House. We love the opportunity to get out of the office and check out what our BDS distributors are up to around the country. Scott Butters from Bullhide 4×4 runs great operation and does a tremendous job supporting the community in and around Fort Collins. When we got the invite to come for the event we jumped at the chance to hang out and support our dealer and talk to customers.
The crew from Bullhide 4×4 put on a great show with a number of vendors on site, local 4×4 clubs hanging out and special offers all day long. WIth great weather all day, attendance was up and many customers came by to ask questions, sharing stories, and stopping by to show off their trucks and Jeeps. A great show and great people, Ted had a blast meeting customers and hanging out with the Bullhide staff. Thanks again for the hospitality.
BDS hit the road this past weekend for the 11th Annual Adams Jeep Jam hosted by BDS Distributor Adams Jeep of Maryland. This yearly event attracts past customers and Jeepers alike for a fun filled day out at the dealership. From car crushing action to the obstacle course, show-n-shine and tons of giveaways the event boasted tons of fun activities for the whole family. BDS reps Jeff and Bryce made it out for the day to hang out and talk to customers. More than 350 Jeeps and hundreds more spectators made it out for the event making it one of the best turn outs yet. The obstacle course stayed busy all day long as Jeepers brought their rides out for some fun trail riding. The PA Jeep Club brought out an RTI ramp and Adam’s had their ever popular car crush that brings in quite a crowd.
Bryce and Jeff had a great time at the event and wanted to give a big thanks to Chuck and the rest of the crew from Adams Jeep as well as to all the customers that stopped by to say hi. This is always a great event and the guys are already looking forward to next year’s Jam.
Good people coming together for a great cause. This past weekend BDS distributor Eastern Truck & Accessories held their 11th Annual Open House and customer appreciation day at their shop in Norfolk, VA. BDS president Steve Olmstead and marketing rep Carter Reed made it out for the day’s festivities to show support and help with fundraising. Each year the shop invites customers, manufacturers, and more out for a fun filled day at the shop. Many come for the truck show, live music, special deals and BBQ lunch served. This year Grave Digger monster truck driver Dennis Anderson and son Adam Anderson, driver of Grave Digger the Legend, made it out for the show to hang out, sign autographs, and donate some monster truck memorabilia to the charity auction. Since the 1st open house, the event has grown in size along with the charitable donation raised for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This year was no different as the event raised over $25,000 for CF research.
After some morning showers, the rain held off and made for a decent day for the event. After surprising Dennis Anderson with a truck makeover last year on his ’11 Silverado 2500HD that included a BDS 6.5” Lift Kit, 37” Toyos, 20” Moto Metals, Westin bumpers, Amp Steps and more, this year it was Adam Anderson’s turn in to get an overhaul. BDS supplied the 6.5” High Clearance Kit with Fox 2.0 shocks. The rig also received matte black paint, 35” Toyo M/Ts, 18” XD Strikes. Amp Steps, Fab Fours Bumper and more.
It was a great weekend at Eastern Truck & Accessories. We had a blast and are already looking forward to next year’s event. Thanks to the crew from ETA for having us out and setting us up with vehicles to drive for the weekend. To everyone out at the show, thanks for chatting and for your continued support of us, ETA, and the CF Foundation. See some of the event photos below, and for more, head to the BDS Facebook Page at BDS Facebook Fan Page.

Keith Wilson of Wilson’s Offroad in Fayetteville, NC is a long time BDS distributor who demands the best products for his and his customer’s vehicles. This past weekend we took a road trip down to Georgia to take part in the Trucks Gone Wild Pro Stadium Trucks Race at East Coast Off Road Park. Keith’s been running a BDS 4.5” short arm kit on Jeep XJ for a few year’s now and when he can find the time away from the shop can be found launching the mighty little XJ over jumps and pushing the limits. After a fierce battle for position Keith edged out the competition finishing 1st in his modded Jeep XJ against a fleet of capable race trucks.
Keith had this to say “This is the 5th time we have raced the 4.5 BDS suspension really hard and have yet to break it! Thanks so much BDS for your continued support, your product gives me the advantage.”
Congrats to Keith on the victory, keep up the great work on the track and in the shop!
BDS Suspension sales rep Jason Shellhaas just cruised back into town from a road trip around the Pacific Northwest visiting some of our great distributors and getting involved with a couple events. Along the way we saw a number of BDS distributors including Street To Sand in Nevada, Advantage Tire, Gresham 4wd and Bend Truck Toys in Oregon, Body Armor and Rockridge 4WD in Washington and Jack-It and Fat Bob’s Garage in Utah.
Along the way, Jason hung out with Randy and the rest of the crew over at Street to Sand Offroad during the 2013 Reno Offroad Expo. This is the 6th year for the Reno expo, and turnout improves every year as more people hear about the event. S2S had a great booth with a number of SEMA worthy and magazine featured trucks on display, sand rails, side-by-sides and other cool rigs.
After driving all the way around the Great Basin, Jason ended up back in Salt Lake City, where he teamed up with Fat Bob’s Garage for their first annual open house at their new Layton, Utah location. Over 200 people came out in the rain to show off rigs from vintage Land Rovers and Scouts to the new JKs, Toyotas and competition rock buggies. Hotdogs, drinks, live music and a great raffle featuring BDS Giveaways topped off an event that included show-n-shine competition, RTI ramp and truck teeter totter challenge and best of all was a crawl drag race that was won with a time of 5 minutes and 56 seconds to crawl 100 feet!
Jason came back saying it was a great trip, he enjoyed meeting up with some of our amazing customers and checking out some of the most incredible scenery from around the country.
