Truckmaster Distributing, home of BDS Suspension, Zone Offroad Products, 4×4 Posi-Lok and numerous other quality 4×4 product lines is in the process of moving into their new biggerdigs. Here’s what Truckmaster’s President, Steve Olmstead had to say:
Truckmaster Distributing continues to add new products and new product lines to better serve our customers. Over the past several years we have seen our business explode to the point we cannot hire one more associate nor put in any more inventory simply because we’ve run out of space. On the one hand this can be viewed as a really positive thing. But when our business has been built on shipping the same day and never being out, lack of space has begun to affect our core principles.
The solution… buy a bigger building, and we did! The new facility is still located in Coldwater, MI and is nearly double the size of our current facilities. The new 70,000+ sq. ft. facility will give us the ability to move administrative, sales, marketing, engineering, production, warehousing and shipping under one roof in the future. We plan to make the trasition without a lapse in service. We appreciate your patience as we begin the move and we look forward to being able to better serve our customers in the near future.
BDS hit the road over the weekend heading all over for a slew of offroad events and among them was the East Coast truckin’ Nationals in Petersburg, VA. BDS Rep Mike Rogers made the trip out in the BDS Ram 2500to hang out with distributor Davis Offroad and take part in the events. Davis Offraod has been a BDS distributor for the last couple years building some Bad Ass Rides in the Richmond, VA area and have a number of them on display and racing in the event. The Virginia Motorsports Park played host to this event that brings in thousands of trucks for a weekend of diesel smoke and burnt rubber.
The 2-day show consists of Friday night truck and tractor pull followed by a Saturday chalked full of diesel drag racing, show ‘n shine competition, sled pulls, dynos, burnout competitions, great food and vendors on site. Robby Bryant, a Davis Offroad customer sporting a 6” BDS lift on his 2008 Super Duty brought home top honors during friday nights stock class pulls. Saturday had great weather bringing in large crowds for the events as many came out to watch Schied Deisel’s truck put down a national record for speed of a diesel motor going 203mph on the 1/4 mile track. For a change in pace from the polished show rigs crowds gathered throughout the day to watch the tough mudder truck racing set up on the back half of the motorsports park. A big thanks to Davis Offroad for inviting us out and to everyone that stopped by to check out the booth.
BDS made the trip out to OK Auto’s annual open house event last weekend to a day of fun out on the east coast. OK Auto continues to improve their shop out in Stewartsville, NJ and holds this event each spring as a way to say thanks to their customers. BDS was among a few vendors that showed up to take part in the festivities. There was plenty to see and do all day with the rock climbing wall, off-road obstacle course and vendors showing off the latest products. BDS had its new late-model Tacoma lift on display in the BDS booth. We had a ton of customers stop by to chat about their BDS lifts and plenty more came by interested in getting their trucks lifted. Pro biker, Chris Clark brought out his bike and performed some amazing stunts for the crowd. A big thanks to everyone that stopped by at the show to say hi.
Canadian BDS Distributor Rock Spyder 4×4 hosted their 5th Annual Customer Appreciation Day out at their Markham, Ontario shop over the weekend. Hundreds made it out for the event in an assortment of trucks, Jeeps, and rock buggies to celebrate another great year with Rock Spyder 4×4. With vendors on site and BBQ lunch served, and trucks lining the grounds there was not shortage of things to do all day. Unfortunately BDS wasn’t able to make it out this year due to a packed schedule and shortage of vehicles and manpower over the weekend, but we wanted to say thanks to Jim from Rock Spyder 4×4 for putting on another great event. Check out some of the photos from the event.
