2007-2013 Chevy/GMC 1/2-ton 2wd/4WD Fox 2.5″ Remote Reservoir Coil-over Lift Kits

Coldwater, MI—September 4, 2012—The late model 2007-2013 GM 1/2-ton trucks have proven themselves as a worthy replacement to the torsion bar configured predecessor. BDS Suspension continues to offer suspension lift options for both and is proud to announce the latest release, Fox Racing coil-over performance suspension systems for the 2007-2013 trucks.

After more than a year of development and testing, BDS Suspension and Fox Racing have dialed in this system to take the newer Silverado/Sierra 1500 trucks to a new level of performance. This new 6″ high clearance performance system is built to take on the open desert, sand dunes, or whatever terrain you throw at it while retaining the on road mannerisms that late-model truck owners have come to expect. The Fox Racing 2.5″ remote reservoir coil-overs feature:

  • Smooth-bore, clear coated, zinc plated alloy body
  • Black anodized 6061-T6 billet aluminum mounting components
  • 7/8″ hard chrome plated heat treated alloy steel shaft
  • High flow piston design with specially formulated race oil
  • External reservoir separates shock oil from high-pressure nitrogen
  • Easy bolt-on installation, coil spring preload set for proper ride height right out of the box.
These new coil-overs are available as an upgrade for current BDS GM 1/2-ton lift kits or as a complete 6″ performance suspension system. Matched with a pair of Fox 2.0 rear shocks, these coil-overs drastically improve the ride and performance of your BDS lifted Chevy/GMC truck. Installation is a breeze with the coil-overs coming pre-tuned to offer proper ride height right out of the box with brackets included to mount the remote reservoir.

BDS’s unique high clearance suspension design is a true blend of performance, function, and appearance. Suspension geometry of this 6″ lift kit creates a factory style ride. The black powdercoated high arched crossmembers blend perfectly with the angle of the factory installed lower control arms for a completely integrated look while providing a full 6″ of lift and increasing ground clearance at the front crossmember by 91%.

Press Release #113 – Fox 2.0 Performance Series Shocks for BDS Lift Kits

Coldwater, MI– August 23, 2011– BDS Suspension and Fox Racing have teamed up and are proud to announce the release of a full line of Fox 2.0 Performance Series Shocks.  BDS and Fox engineers developed this monotube shock with compression and rebound valving tuned specifically to optimize the ride and performance of your BDS equipped rig. The Fox 2.0 is an upgrade option for most BDS Suspension kit applications and is designed  to be a direct bolt in for easy installation.

The Fox 2.0 features specially formulated race oil and a cold-forged, metalimpacted 6061 T6 aluminum body capable of dissipating heat 3 times faster than conventional steel body shock improving overall performance and longevity.

Case hardened 5/8’’ chrome shafts provide extreme durability and cnc-machined type II hard black anodized aluminum components provide a rugged fade free finish.

Unlike the emulsion shocks you may be familiar with, this new monotube performance shock features an internal floating piston (IFP) designed to separate Fox’s formulated race shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen charged gas chamber.  This constant pressure eliminates oil aeration and foaming, providing a consistent, predictable ride under the roughest driving conditions with fade-free performance.

First to Market; the new BDS 6.5″ High Clearance Suspension System for the 2011 Chevy/GMC 2500/3500HD 4WD is now available at BDS Distributors Worldwide

Coldwater, MI—October 5, 2010—BDS Suspension is proud to announce their new 6.5’’ HC Suspension System to lift new GM HD trucks and allow the fitment of 37s. BDS is the first to market with this American-manufactured 6.5’’ System with kits available and shipping out now! As with other BDS IFS systems, this kit’s one-piece crossmember is made from 1/4” steel with internal supports and is built to handle any abuse you can throw at it. The extreme high clearance design and BDS exclusive No Torsion Bar Drop design eliminates lowering the torsion bar crossmember, improving ground clearance and the overall aesthetics. BDS also includes both differential and front impact skidplates creating a bulletproof drivetrain backed by an Industry Exclusive, No Fine Print LifeTime Warranty.

CNC machined replacement steering knuckles ensure OE steering geometry and offer no change in track width as well as zero change to OE turning radius. Our knuckles are 100% resonant frequency tested as well as random X-Ray tested to ensure a quality product made right here in the USA.

In the rear, this system uses a 5” block kit that eliminates the square u-bolts and switches to a stronger round u-bolt set up.  The rear 5” block even has a cast wing creating a new bump stop point. This system comes complete with BDS 5500-series shocks front and rear and can be upgraded to 9500-series gas shocks. Stainless Steel brake lines round out this system, replacing the weak factory lines.

6″ High Clearance Suspension System—1988-1998 Chevy/GMC K1500 & K2500 6-Lug 4WD & 1992-1998 Chevy/GMC Tahoe, Yukon, & Suburban 6-Lug 4WD

Coldwater, MI—March 10, 2010—BDS Suspension has released a 6” High Clearance system for the 88-98 K1500 and K2500 6-Lug 4wd and the 92-98 Tahoe, Yukon, and Suburban 6-Lug 4wd. The lift kit’s one piece cross member is made from 1/4” steel with internal supports. They can handle about any abuse you can throw at them. The extreme high clearance design ensures that you won’t get hung up on anything compared to most other kits on the market.

Unlike many ‘88-98 knuckle kits on the market, this system does not increase the track width. The knuckle design combined with the crossmembers and upper A-arms offer improved geometry and reduced stress on the ball joints compared to other systems available.

New heavy-duty upper greaseable A-arms are included to improve tire clearance as well as allow for the zero track width change. The steel differential skid plate is used to lock the front and rear cross members together as well as offer increased off road protection. CNC machined replacement steering knuckles allow the system to ensure OE steering geometry while reducing installation time when compared to an older style drop down bracket kit. Our knuckles are 100% resonant frequency tested as well as random X-Ray tested to ensure a quality product.

The rear is lifted with either a 4” block and Add-a-leaf kit or new BDS Glide-Ride Leaf springs. The BDS rear leaf springs feature bolt style leaf alignment clamps, anti-friction pads, and tapered leafs.

4.5″ High Clearance Suspension System—2000-2006 1/2 ton 4wd Chevy/GMC Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Avalanche and Escalade

Coldwater, MI—March 1, 2010—2000-2006 1/2 ton 4wd Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Avalanche and Escalade owners can now lift their vehicles with the new BDS Suspension 4.5” high-clearance suspension system. This new system eliminates the need to drop the torsion bars by integrating a new front torsion bar mount with the front lower A-Arm. The one piece cross members are made from 1/4 steel with internal supports.  They can handle about any abuse you can throw at them.

The extreme high clearance design ensures that you won’t get hung up on anything compared to most other kits on the market. The steel differential skid plate and front skid plate are used to lock the front and rear cross members together as well as offer increased off road protection.

CNC machined replacement steering knuckles allow the system to ensure OE steering geometry while reducing installation time when compared to an older style drop down bracket kit.  Our knuckles are 100% resonant frequency tested as well as random XR tested to ensure a quality product.

The rear is lifted with 3.5” coil spacers, track bar relocation, and bump stop extensions.
