On the Road Again… Next Stop, Vegas!

October 26th, 2011 No comments

BDS is on the road again. After a year filled with shows from coast to coast and a few abroad, the final show for the year is only days away. We’re heading to Vegas baby! On our way to the 2011 SEMA Show in the BDS Ram, a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel sporting a BDS suspension and other gear to show off. SEMA is the mecca of automotive shows, whether imports, exotics, muscle cars, trucks, jeeps, lowriders, classics or concepts. This is BDS’s 3rd year out at exhibiting at SEMA and each year we’ve grown exponentially. From larger, more extravagant booths to featured vehicles out on display around the convention center, BDS is growing their presence at this annual show. This year we’re planning to be bigger and better, with a 25×80′ booth space (#30170) in the truck & off-road section (south hall, upper level) and dozens of trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps repping BDS. Companies like Warn, Body Armor, Edge, Diesel Power/Craftsmen, Westin, and Bully Dog to name a few are running on BDS lifts.

We’ll be covering the event in much more depth as it all goes down next week (Nov.1-4). We’ll be including more photos and info on all the SEMA trucks in the coming weeks. A big thanks to all the companies that helped sponsor the BDS Ram:

Wheather you’re into import, exotics, muscle cars, trucks, jeeps, lowriders, classics or concepts, this show has something for everyone. BDS is tying loose ends on the Dodge buildup and here’s your first peek of the truck. BDS is making the trip out to sin city in our 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 towing the BDS Trailer and displays. In addition there will be Jeeps, Fords, Chevys, Toyotas, Dodges and Hummers throughout the show representing BDS Suspension proudly. If you’re heading out to SEMA, make sure to stop by the booth (#30170 South Hall, Upper Level) to say hi and see what’s new.

Michael took on the challenge with a pair of BDS Suspension equipped Tundras and had a blast participating.

BDS heads to OK Auto’s OKtober Truckfest

October 19th, 2011 No comments

BDS’s very own Chris Bowers just made it back to Michigan after heading down to OK 4WD‘s annual OKtoberfest. Here is his take on the event:

OKtober Truckfest, what a show! Apparently no one around BDS Distributor OK Auto 4WD in Stewartsville, NJ is aware of a slump in the economy! OKtober Truckfest had  record registrations with over 170 vehicles along with (1) Blackhawk Military helicopter landing during the show! The showroom and sales counter were busy from the time the doors opened at 9:00 am to closing. The show always has something for everyone, from a band on the back deck playing your favorite tunes to pumpkin painting for the kids. Following the show and shine competition Jim O., owner of OK opened up the rock pile and test terrain to anyone feeling the need. The local volunteer fire department has the grilles fired up all day with food and refreshments for everyone. Plenty of rigs sporting BDS suspension kits out at the show as well. The vendors did a great job coming out and supporting OK Auto with over a dozen of them having some type of representation at the show. Jim had piles of trophies to give out at the end of the day, it’s a great event. If you have never been plan on attending next year’s spring open house or fall Oktoberfest you will not be disappointed!

Off-Road Expo 2011

WOW! What a great trip to Sothern California! Off-Road Expo seems to be one of the fastest growing events in the country and this year didn’t fail to impress! This is the second year VP of sales, Mike Maloney and Jason Shellhaas, the BDS West Coast sales rep made the journey to the L.A. County Fair Plex to represent the BDS line for the two day show. The show started at 9am on Saturday Oct. 8th, and the place was shoulder to shoulder visitors within the first half hour! Mike and Jason spent the next two days answering questions and receiving great feedback from customers covering everything from classic CJ5’s to High Clearance IFS systems and everything in between! On display in the BDS booth was the new BDS/FOX shock as well as a very sharp 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK, showing off a flexed out BDS 6.5” long arm lift kit. Off-Road Expo is an exciting mix of vendors showing off some their goods. If you haven’t been to this show before, put it on your “bucket list”. The fairgrounds harbor 3 buildings loaded with incredible rigs and innovative products, not to mention acres of outdoor vendors mixed with what some said resembled an energy drink after party. It will surely make any off-road enthusiasts feel like a kid on Christmas morning again!?For more information on this show and others check out Family Events.
