We’ve been attending the Unlimited Off Road Expo in Louisville, KY for several years and looking forward to all that event has to offer from vendor show, demos and exhibits, obstacle course and nightly parties and excursions to keep everyone entertained. When we got word they were setting up a 2nd event to be held in the Texas Motor Speedway during the winter months we jumped at the chance to get involved.
This past weekend the BDS crew spent the weekend down in the Lone Star State for the first annual Unlimited Off Road Expo Lone Star Edition held in the infield of the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. With Project Raider 2.0 on site along with some bad ass custom builds from companies, shops and individuals from all corners of the country this show was stuffed full of offroad eye candy to enjoy. A big thanks to all dealers like Maxxed Performance, Custom Trucks Unlimited, Outlaw Offraod of Texas, All Out Performance and others that made it our to show off their BDS -equipped trucks and Jeeps at the show..
Following setup at the Speedway the event kicked off at “The Fort Worth Stockyards” on Friday night where Project Raider 2.0 joined several others out on display in front of the historic Cowtown Coliseum. Event attendees, off road shops, manufacturers, and even the public came together to look at some awesome trucks, eat some Texas BBQ, and watch the Rodeo.
The main event was held Saturday and Sunday on the infield of Texas Motor Speedway; a 1.5 mile track that host numerous Nascar races and holds 181,655 spectators. The crowds came in hordes for the Unlimited Off Road Expo. With a full-fledged off road course, rock and gravel RC course, Dyno, food, and tons of vendors, there was plenty for everyone to do at this family friendly event. By the end of the weekend, there had been some carnage on the rock course, new friends were made, and Texas treated us very well. All in all this was a great first time event, and we are looking forward to Louisville in June and making it back out for the Lone Star Edition next year. Check out the video and some of our photos from the event.
