Important Kit Notes

  • 1. Exhaust modification required.
  • 2. Special torsion bar unloading tool (Kent Moore Tools Part # J-36202-A) required for installation.
  • 3. Frame bracket modification required.
  • 4. Not recommended for long box extended cab models due to OEM crossmember interference.
  • 5. All models equipped with auto-trac may require a new front driveshaft. This can be identified by the "NP246" plaque on the back of the transfer case or the "Auto 4WD" dash display.
  • 6. Aftermarket wheels required.
  • 7. System will not work on some '88-95 vehicles that were equipped with spindle mounted front ABS sensors.
  • 8. Traction bars wil not work on regular cab, short box models.
