BDS Suspension Co. warrants to the original retail purchaser that its shock and stabilizer cylinders are free from defects in material and workmanship for so long as they own the vehicle. Excluded from this warranty are the finish of the product and mounting bushings. Defects in material and workmanship do not include such things as dented cylinders or bent rods caused by obvious side impact, rust, worn or deformed bushings. A shock absorber is a wear item and over time will experience diminished damping resistance due to normal component wear. This is not a defect in material or workmanship and is therefore not warrantable.
BDS Suspension's obligation under all warranties is limited to the repair or replacement, at BDS's option, of the defective material. Any cost of removal, installation or reinstallation, freight charges, incidental or consequential damages are expressly excluded from these warranties.
The BDS website allows you to view and customize a kit or products for your specific vehicle. Order by Part Number was designed for knowledgeable customers with access to a BDS catalog or part numbers.
You can complete your purchase using a credit card or PayPal. BDS' unique distributorship program allows you to buy direct from BDS while utilizing your local authorized BDS Distributor's support. You will be given contact information for your local Authorized Distributor when you place your web order even if you have that order shipped directly to your home. This Distributor will be there to assist you throughout the purchasing process and beyond.
Use our distributor lookup to find a BDS Distributor near you. Our distributors have installed our products, and have the ability to answer questions before and after the purchase. Of course BDS support is available to both the BDS distributor and you, the customer.
You can track the status of your order 24 hours after it is placed. To check your order status, please enter your order number and billing ZIP code in our help center. You will receive an e-mail with a tracking number when your order is shipped. You can also contact your local distributor or BDS with purchasing questions.
BDS can ship your order to your home or business (shipping address must be a continental U.S. address) or to your local authorized BDS distributor (free shipping). BDS recommends having your order shipped free to your distributor to save you money and make installation convenient.
BDS Suspension ships your merchandise using UPS, FedEx, and various truck freight companies for domestic shipments within the continental United States. Transit times vary between the numerous different companies. You will be notified when your product has shipped. Most lift systems containing leaf springs will ship Motor Freight. Important: the customer must be home for Motor Freight shipments in order to inspect and sign for the merchandise at the time of delivery. See also, damaged and lost packages.
If you receive a package which was damaged, i.e., the product inside the package is damaged or some pieces inside the package are missing, etc., please call customer service immediately at 517-278-7144 or email your sales person of record, to report it. You must keep all of the original packaging. Do not throw anything away or attempt to install any component or product, and please, do not tear down your vehicle. Customer service will handle the claim process from here as this was not your fault. If your order was received incomplete, i.e. missing a complete box, etc., please call customer service immediately at 517-278-7144 or email your salesperson of record to report it.
If you receive your merchandise by truck freight, pay special attention to what it says on the paperwork you will be asked to sign. It will say 1 skid containing X number pieces. You are signing for this many pieces. You must count and confirm the number of pieces before signing.
If you receive a package that was short or damaged which was delivered by a truck freight company, you must sign for it that way. Sign the bill of lading as (short) or (damaged) qty?, Item?, Description?, Type damage?, Etc. Please make sure that the driver acknowledges the situation, in writing on the bill of lading or else BDS Suspension cannot proceed in helping you with a claim on the product. The truck freight carriers are very specific on this matter.
If your package has been shipped to you from BDS Suspension and has become lost by one of the carriers, then a "tracer" must be started on the item/package. BDS Suspension, unfortunately, is at the mercy of the carriers in these situations and our hands are tied. We at BDS Suspension must abide by the rules of the carrier under these circumstances.
A certain number of days are allowed for the carrier to attempt to locate and deliver the package. If this cannot be completed, then a claim will be opened and BDS Suspension will be given permission by the carrier to reship to you. It is not BDS Suspension’s fault that the carrier lost your package. In an effort to eliminate this situation we attempt to ship only with the most reputable carriers available.
BDS Suspension prides itself on bringing quality merchandise to satisfied customers. However, in the event that there is a problem with your order, please follow the simple directions below. We can promptly and efficiently correct whatever the problem might be.
If, for any reason, within 30 days from the date of your purchase, you decide you would like to return a product, please contact your sales person of record via email for return authorization.
A return authorization number must be obtained from your salesman and must appear on the outside of your package in order for your merchandise to be accepted by our shipping department. Please return the merchandise promptly as return authorization numbers are only good for 30 days. Return freight must be prepaid-no C.O.D.'s will be accepted.
Please be aware that a 10% restocking charge is applicable on returned orders.
First and most important, you must have your original sales receipt in order for any warranty to be valid. (A warranty item is valid to the original purchaser.) Your receipt contains the email address of your BDS Sales person and the name of your local distributor.
You can handle a warranty in one of 2 ways. In either situation you will be responsible for freight to return the warrantied product to BDS. You can take it to you distributor of record and process a warranty through them. More than likely they will have the replacement product on hand. Or you can contact your sales person of record via email for return authorization and send the product directly to BDS. If you elect to send to BDS, a return authorization number must be obtained from your salesman and must appear on the outside of your package in order for your merchandise to be accepted by our shipping department. Please return the merchandise promptly as return authorization numbers are only good for 30 days. Return freight must be prepaid-no C.O.D.'s will be accepted.
Every effort will be made to correct whatever problem exists. We will either exchange the merchandise or issue appropriate credit.
