2" Leveling Kit | Ram 2500 4WD

  • Price $373.35

  • Base Kit Id 695H

BDS Suspension 2" Spacer Kit for the new 2014-16 Ram 2500 4wd with the redesigned RADIUS ARM front suspension and coil spring rear suspension only. This kit will not fit 2013 & older models.

The heavy construction, steel fabricated and powder coated upper coil spacers are pitched and indexed properly to work with the new Ram's unique coil mount. A retaining bolt mounted through an existing hole in the coil bucket maintains proper indexing and holds the spacer securely in place when the coil springs are unloaded.

Front and rear replacement shocks and extended front polyurethane bump stops round out the kit and give the new Ram the level stance most people prefer.

3" Radius Arm Suspension System | Ram 2500 4WD (Diesel)

  • Price $1,844.54

  • Base Kit Id 1624H

BDS Suspension 2014-2016 Ram 2500 3" Radius Arm Lift System.

This kit is perfect for those looking for all the performance of a full-out lift system but with the height of a leveling kit. This new system is built around massive tubular replacement radius arms. These arms are built to handle far more than the factory parts they are replacing. The design incorporates a factory style rubber bushing mount at the frame to keep the NVH levels in check. The 3-1/4" diameter bushings are huge and have a long, maintenance-free service life. The new radius arms mount right into the factory locations so installation is simple and clean. Factory alignment adjustability is maintained using the OE eccentric adjusters. The arm geometry is set to keep the axle angle in the factory specs while compensating for the 3" of lift. A copper-anodized aluminum BDS name plate is mounted each arm.

In addition to the heavy-duty, high-performance radius arms, this new system features dual-rate front coil springs that improve the ride and handling of these 3/4 ton trucks both on and off road. Our popular heavy-duty turnbuckle style adjustable track bar is included to center the axle. BDS greaseable front sway bar links reset the sway bar to the optimum angle and round out the main front components. These links utilize spherical polyurethane bushings for increased articulation and performance. Add in the front brake line relocation brackets and a choice of BDS 5500-series or FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks and this system is set to handle any terrain.

The rear system utilizes 1.25" fabricated steel coil spring spacers to level out the stance. A new raised track bar bracket centers up the axle while bump stop extensions and greaseable extended sway bar links (same design as the fronts) round out the rear components.

4" Suspension System | Ram 2500 4WD (Diesel)

  • Price $1,383.20

  • Base Kit Id 698H

BDS Suspension 2014-16 Ram 2500 4wd Diesel Only 4" Radius Arm Drop Suspension System. FIRST TO MARKET

This new suspension system for the redesigned 2014-15 Ram 2500 trucks uses the same front components as the recently released 4" system for the 2013 Ram 3500s. As with the 3500s, the radius arms are relocated with a uniquely designed bracket that mixes the ease of installation you get with an adapter-type bracket with the strength and durability of a full replacement radius arm mount bracket.

The new relocation bracket ties into both the factory radius arm frame mount and the side of the frame rail. At the frame, the new mount is fastened with specially machined sleeves and threaded inserts. The threaded inserts (2) do require a minor amount of welding in order to provide the strongest possible connection. This portion of the installation can be completed without welding and then transported to a weld shop to be welded if necessary.

In addition to the radius arm relocation, the kit includes everything else to properly lift the new 2014 Ram 2500s. Track bar relocation, dropped pitman arm and brake line relocation hardware position all the steering and brake components properly to work with the added ride height provided by the new progressive rate, full replacement coils springs. Extra design time was spent developing coils that would ride great, handle the rigors of supporting a 3/4 ton truck and work properly with the unique factory coil mounts at the frame and axle. In order to design the best possible coil springs at the 4" lift height, we found it necessary to develop side-specific coils. Since the coils are driver's and passenger's side specific, they are clearly and permanently labeled to ensure they are installed on the correct side.

The rear portion of the new 2500 is where the similarities to the 3500 trucks end. The new 2014-15 2500s have a rear multi-link, coil spring suspension similar in design to that of the 09-up Ram 1500s. For this particular new system, the rear lift is accomplished with heavy duty steel fabricated coil spacers that locate to and bolt directly on the factory coil spring axle mount. An axle mounted track bar relocation bracket repositions the rear track bar and centers the axle. Extended sway bar links keep the rear sway bar at the optimum operating angle. Replacement rear shocks (5500s or Fox 2.0) round out the rear lift and provide that desired level stance.

4" 4-Link Suspension System | Ram 2500 4WD (Diesel)

  • Price $2,229.36

  • Base Kit Id 1602H

BDS Suspension 2014-16 Ram 2500 4WD Diesel - 4" 4-Link Suspension System.

The newest addition to the 2500 Ram suspension line follows the same design as the 3500 Ram 4-Link conversion options.

Like our popular 2005-2014 Ford Super Duty systems, we replace the factory radius arm setup for 4-link system. The design starts with 2 massive frame brackets that provide the mounting points for the new upper and lower control arms. These brackets locate off of the factory radius arm brackets, no factory bracket removal required.

The new 4-Link brackets mount similar to the current radius arm relocation brackets, wrapping the frame and nesting in the factory radius arms mounts. As with our radius arm brackets, there is a minor amount of welding required to install the threaded frame insert (1 per side). This insert is necessary to provide the strongest possible mount. The new control arm positions at the frame create better suspension geometry and reduce caster change through wheel travel compared to the radius arm setup. This creates better handling and more controlled steering "feel", especially in rough terrain when the suspension is allowed to travel and articulate.

The large diameter, heavy-wall tubular control arms are formed for tire clearance when turning and position the axle slightly forward from stock to create more clearance to the rear portion of the front fenders.

In the rear the new 2014-15 2500s have a rear multi-link, coil spring suspension similar in design to that of the 09-up Ram 1500s. For this new system, the rear lift is accomplished with massive new 2.5" progressive rate coil springs. These new springs provide an amazing ride and are designed to stand up to any load the new 3/4 ton trucks were built to handle.

An axle mounted track bar relocation bracket repositions the rear track bar and centers the axle. Extended sway bar links keep the rear sway bar at the optimum operating angle. Replacement rear shocks round out the rear lift and provide that desired level stance.

BDS Suspension | 8" 4-Link Suspension System | 2014-2016 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Diesel

BDS Suspension adds to its industry leading lineup for the late model RAM 2500 4WD trucks with 8" 4-link systems. This new 8" 4-link system offers premium on-road comfort and superior offroad capability for the best all around performance out of your new 3/4-ton RAM trucks. The system converts the factory radius arm suspension to BDS's tried and true 4-link design for improved stability, wheel travel, and handling across all terrains. The 4-link design limits caster change to less than 1-degree of change throughout wheel travel for better handling, steering control, and overall driveability. The heart of the system are a pair of massive frame-mounted brackets precision welded and engineered to position the new upper and lower control arms for optimal suspension geometry for late model RAM trucks. The 4-link brackets are fabricated from 1/4" thick steel and wrap around the frame as well as the factory radius arm brackets to create an extremely sturdy mount for the new arms. Removal of the factory radius arm brackets is not required allowing the brackets to stay intact to speed up the installation time. The upper and lower control arms are built from 2" OD x 3/16" wall DOM tubing for the strength to take any abuse you can throw at them. They utilize large 2.5" OD polyurethane bushings to isolate road vibrations and are formed inward to allow for extra tire clearance. These arms are finished in a durable textured black powder coating and use grease fittings for easy servicing.

The additional height comes from a pair of specially designed dual rate ProRide coil springs. These 8" coils have been engineered and tested to improve the ride quality and performance across all terrains while holding up to the rigors that 3/4-ton truck owners demand without bowing or sagging over time. A heavy duty track bar relocation bracket is supplied to recenter the front axle once lifted and a forged drop pitman arm is used to correct steering angles to keep them in phase for proper handling. New extended sway bar links are included to correct the front sway bar operating angle. These new links are greasable via pre-installed grease fittings and feature a unique poly-flex ball design to provide bind-free operation. Extended front bump stops are included to limit suspension compression and braided stainless steel kevlar-lined extended front brake lines allow full droop of the suspension. Rounding out the front are your choice of specially valved BDS-5500 or Fox 2.0 performance gas shocks for a smooth ride across any terrain.

At 8" of lift, transmission/transfer case relocation is required to allow front driveshaft functionality. BDS includes a new laser cut transmission crossmember and adjustable transmission mounting plate to increase clearance front driveline clearance. The transfer case is repositioned by way of a supplied indexing ring kit to correct the operating angle and a billet aluminum driveshaft spacer is supplied to allow the use of the factory driveshafts. Indexing rings are available for both 6-bolt and 8-bolt transmission equipped trucks, confirm transmission before ordering.

In the rear careful consideration was taken to design the system for load carrying capacity, handling, and ride quality. The factory coil positioning inside the frame rails is sufficient at smaller heights, but at 8" of lift needed to be modified to increased stability. The engineers developed an all new outboard coil spring design that relocates the coil spring position outward 8" on each side (16" total) using a set of bolt-on mounts. This new position mimics that of a leaf spring on the 3500 models and provides increased stability without compromising ride quality. The new upper and lower coil seats locate off of existing features on the frame and axle, requiring only minor drilling for mounting hardware. The new position allows for a much shorter and more stable coil spring design. This virtually eliminates any chance of coil bowing and ensures the coils react predictably throughout the full range of travel. In addition to the coil springs/mounts, a new track bar relocation system is included to properly set the rear roll-center height and center the axle under the vehicle. The rear track bar relocation includes a new heavy duty adjustable track bar. The track bar uses high-durometer polyurethane bushings at the frame and an adjustable forged COM bearing joint at the axle. Extended rear sway bar links round out the rear suspension components. Rounding out the rear of this kit is your choice of BDS-5500 or Fox 2.0 performance gas shocks.

BDS has a number of accessories and upgrades available to "Customize this Kit" on our website. Both single and dual steering stabilizer kit are available to meet your on-road and off-road performance needs. Available with 5500-series (white body), 9500-series (brushed stainless body), and Fox 2.0 (50/50-valved aluminum body) BDS steering stabilizers improve drivability by reducing front end shimmy caused by oversized tires and mount above the tie-rod for extra protection when offroad. The dual stabilizer kits mount end-to-end with an attractive BDS branded center bracket. In addition to steering stabilizers, BDS offers a heavy duty adjustable front track bar to allow you to dial in the front axle lateral positioning. Constructed from 1-3/8" solid steel stock this new adjustable track bar is built to handle on and off-road abuse and uses a 1-3/8"-12 fine threaded pinch bolt design turnbuckle to allow easy tuning to properly recenter the front axle for a range of lift heights. The track bar is formed for proper clearance around critical front end components and features gusseted ends for additional rigidity. The ends utilize high-durometer polyurethane bushings with thick-walled steel sleeves for strength and reliability. To improve dampening capabilities BDS offers front dual shock mounting brackets. The upper hoop ties into the factory coil bucket and frame rail for added rigidity and allows you run a pair of BDS-5500 or Fox 2.0 shocks at each front corner.

Glide-Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Systems

Shotpeening increases tensile strength and reduces fatigue while lessening the material thickness required. The thinner material allows for increased wheel travel and provides a softer ride.

Bolt-style leaf alignment clamps prevent leaves from fanning out and allow the leaves to twist and flex, yielding higher articulation.

Each spring is preset using hydraulic stress to reduce fatigue in the steel and prevent sagging.

Some applications include leaf springs with steel encased rubber bushings. Other applications include blue urethane bushings.

Anti-friction pads are placed between the leaves to reduce friction within the spring and noise from metal-to-metal contact.

Tapered and roll-pointed leaves add flexibility and provides an even deflection rate. Tapering allows a smoother transition between leaves as compression takes place, resulting in a softer ride with increased wheel travel.

Pro-Ride Coil Spring Suspension Systems

Springs are either cold wound with chrome silicon 9254 or hot wound with 5160 to guarantee long life.

BDS coil springs are designed to withstand full coil bind. In other words, you can smash our coils to totally flat and they will return to their original height.

A polyester based powder coat is applied to ensure flexibility and durability.

Each spring is preset with a hydraulic stress to reduce fatigue in the steel and prevent sagging.

Shotpeening increases tensile strength and allows for maximum wheel travel without sacrificing the life of the spring.
