BDS Suspension 2" Spacer Kit for the new 2014-15 Ram 2500 4wd with the redesigned RADIUS ARM front suspension and coil spring rear suspension only. This kit will not fit 2013 & older models.

The heavy construction, steel fabricated and powder coated upper coil spacers are pitched and indexed properly to work with the new Ram's unique coil mount. A retaining bolt mounted through an existing hole in the coil bucket maintains proper indexing and holds the spacer securely in place when the coil springs are unloaded.

Front and rear replacement shocks and extended front polyurethane bump stops round out the kit and give the new Ram the level stance most people prefer.

4" 4-Link Suspension System w/Rear Coil Springs - Diesel Only

BDS Suspension 2014-15 Ram 2500 4WD Diesel - 4" 4-Link Suspension System.

The newest addition to the 2500 Ram suspension line follows the same design as the 3500 Ram 4-Link conversion options.

Like our popular 2005-2014 Ford Super Duty systems, we replace the factory radius arm setup for 4-link system. The design starts with 2 massive frame brackets that provide the mounting points for the new upper and lower control arms. These brackets locate off of the factory radius arm brackets, no factory bracket removal required.

The new 4-Link brackets mount similar to the current radius arm relocation brackets, wrapping the frame and nesting in the factory radius arms mounts. As with our radius arm brackets, there is a minor amount of welding required to install the threaded frame insert (1 per side). This insert is necessary to provide the strongest possible mount. The new control arm positions at the frame create better suspension geometry and reduce caster change through wheel travel compared to the radius arm setup. This creates better handling and more controlled steering "feel", especially in rough terrain when the suspension is allowed to travel and articulate.

The large diameter, heavy-wall tubular control arms are formed for tire clearance when turning and position the axle slightly forward from stock to create more clearance to the rear portion of the front fenders.

In the rear the new 2014-15 2500s have a rear multi-link, coil spring suspension similar in design to that of the 09-up Ram 1500s. For this new system, the rear lift is accomplished with massive new 2.5" progressive rate coil springs. These new springs provide an amazing ride and are designed to stand up to any load the new 3/4 ton trucks were built to handle.

An axle mounted track bar relocation bracket repositions the rear track bar and centers the axle. Extended sway bar links keep the rear sway bar at the optimum operating angle. Replacement rear shocks round out the rear lift and provide that desired level stance.

This new suspension system for the redesigned 2014-15 Ram 2500 trucks uses the same front components as the recently released 4" system for the 2013 Ram 3500s. As with the 3500s, the radius arms are relocated with a uniquely designed bracket that mixes the ease of installation you get with an adapter-type bracket with the strength and durability of a full replacement radius arm mount bracket.

The new relocation bracket ties into both the factory radius arm frame mount and the side of the frame rail. At the frame, the new mount is fastened with specially machined sleeves and threaded inserts. The threaded inserts (2) do require a minor amount of welding in order to provide the strongest possible connection. This portion of the installation can be completed without welding and then transported to a weld shop to be welded if necessary.

In addition to the radius arm relocation, the kit includes everything else to properly lift the new 2014 Ram 2500s. Track bar relocation, dropped pitman arm and brake line relocation hardware position all the steering and brake components properly to work with the added ride height provided by the new progressive rate, full replacement coils springs. Extra design time was spent developing coils that would ride great, handle the rigors of supporting a 3/4 ton truck and work properly with the unique factory coil mounts at the frame and axle. In order to design the best possible coil springs at the 4" lift height, we found it necessary to develop side-specific coils. Since the coils are driver's and passenger's side specific, they are clearly and permanently labeled to ensure they are installed on the correct side.

The rear portion of the new 2500 is where the similarities to the 3500 trucks end. The new 2014-15 2500s have a rear multi-link, coil spring suspension similar in design to that of the 09-up Ram 1500s. For this particular new system, the rear lift is accomplished with heavy duty steel fabricated coil spacers that locate to and bolt directly on the factory coil spring axle mount. An axle mounted track bar relocation bracket repositions the rear track bar and centers the axle. Extended sway bar links keep the rear sway bar at the optimum operating angle. Glide-Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Systems

Shotpeening increases tensile strength and reduces fatigue while lessening the material thickness required. The thinner material allows for increased wheel travel and provides a softer ride.

Bolt-style leaf alignment clamps prevent leaves from fanning out and allow the leaves to twist and flex, yielding higher articulation.

Each spring is preset using hydraulic stress to reduce fatigue in the steel and prevent sagging.

Some applications include leaf springs with steel encased rubber bushings. Other applications include blue urethane bushings.

Anti-friction pads are placed between the leaves to reduce friction within the spring and noise from metal-to-metal contact.

Tapered and roll-pointed leaves add flexibility and provides an even deflection rate. Tapering allows a smoother transition between leaves as compression takes place, resulting in a softer ride with increased wheel travel.


Pro-Ride Coil Spring Suspension Systems

Springs are either cold wound with chrome silicon 9254 or hot wound with 5160 to guarantee long life.

BDS coil springs are designed to withstand full coil bind. In other words, you can smash our coils to totally flat and they will return to their original height.

A polyester based powder coat is applied to ensure flexibility and durability.

Each spring is preset with a hydraulic stress to reduce fatigue in the steel and prevent sagging.

Shotpeening increases tensile strength and allows for maximum wheel travel without sacrificing the life of the spring.
