Coldwater, MI—May 21, 2008—BDS Suspension is now shipping a revolutionary new High Clearance system that is also integrated with a No Torsion Bar Drop system. This combination offers more ground clearance than any 6” 4WD system on the market today!

These high arched cross members blend perfectly with the lower control arm angles to give a truly O.E. appearance while lifting your vehicle a full 6.5” without cranking the torsion bars. Combine the High Clearance System with the revolutionary No Torsion Bar Drop system and you have more ground clearance, better performance, an improved geometry that not only rides great on road, but offers more ground clearance off road than anything on the market today!

This system is available with two different rear options including a block and add-a-leaf or a full rear Glide-Ride leaf spring. Our rear Glide-Ride Springs feature bolt style leaf alignment clamps for increased flex, anti-friction pads for reduced noise and smooth movement, and tapered leaves for a smooth transition through wheel travel. 

The complete system is available in our traditional granite or textured black powder coating.

4.5” Long Arm Suspension System – 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ

Coldwater, MI—April 30, 2008—The 4.5” long arm system from BDS for the Wrangler TJ was designed for serious off road use as well as the daily commute. A true 4-link system offers improved control both on and off road compared to any radius arm system. The 4-link system is centered around 4 massive control arms.  The adjustable upper control arms come standard with a flex joint and the lower fixed control arms have a flex joint at both ends.

These massive control arms are attached to 1/4 thick steel mounting brackets that not only improves off road protection, but increases structural rigidity of the suspension system. Kevlar lined stainless steel brake lines are included as well as BDS Ultimate front sway bar disconnects. A BDS exclusive heavy-duty front adjustable track bar is included to properly center the axle. Combine all of this with BDS Pro-Ride coils as well as custom valved gas or hydraulic shocks and your TJ is ready for the trail!

8.5” Long Arm Suspension System – 1987-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ

Coldwater, MI—April 28, 2008 —BDS Suspension has released an 8.5” long arm system for the 87-01 Cherokee XJ. This system was designed for serious off road use as well as the daily commute.  A true 4-link system offers improved control both on and off road compared to any radius arm system.  The 4-link system is centered around 4 massive control arms that are fully adjustable. The upper control arms come standard with a flex joint and the lower control arms are available with either a grease able urethane mount or flex arms. 

These massive control arms are attached to a ¼ thick steel belly pan that not only improves off road protection, but increases structural rigidity of the suspension system. Kevlar lined stainless steel brake lines are included as well as BDS Ultimate front sway bar disconnects. A heavy-duty front adjustable track bar is included to properly center the axle.

Maintaining the OE control arm movements ensures an OE style ride with a desert racing appearance.  These high arched crossmembers blend perfectly with the lower control arm angles to give a truly OE appearance while still lifting your vehicle a full 8”. 

This system is available with two different rear options including a block and add-a-leaf kit or a full leaf spring replacement. Our rear systems lift the vehicle a full 5.5 to 6” to level the vehicle. The rear springs feature bolt style alignment clamps for increased flex, anti-friction pads for reduced noise, and tapered leaves for a smooth transition through wheel travel.

Coldwater, MI—March 4, 2008—After many months of testing, BDS is proud to release the new 4-Link long arm system for the ’07-08 Jeep Wrangler. This system is a true symphony of off road performance and on road handling. The 4-Link long arm system offers improved caster angles which improves steering control for on road handling as well as high speed off road use. Disconnect the sway bars with the BDS Ultimate disconnects and you’ll see the system really perform. The re-buildable and greasable flex arms allow the suspension to flex over any obstacle while the track bar relocation systems help to reduce the roll center. 

In order to offer this type of extreme flex, the BDS Pro-Ride coils were designed to be able to fully collapse and still return to their original height. Repetitive off road use won’t even phase these coils springs! Braided, stainless brake lines with Kevlar lining are included to enhance braking performance as well as allow for extreme wheel travel. 

This complete system also includes a forged dropped pitman arm for reduced steering angles, bump stop extensions, rear sway bar relocation and easy to follow installation instructions.

8” 4-Link Suspension System – 2008 Ford F-250, F350 Super Duty 4WD

Coldwater, MI—November 27 , 2007— The engineer staff put in some overtime on this new 8” 4-Link system for the Super Duty. The system is centered around 4 massive control arms that replace the stock radius arm with a 4-Link suspension design. The 4-Link offers improved off road and on road control versus a standard radius arm. These arms are attached to new heavy-duty mounts at the frame. Unlike many manufacturers that use drop brackets to extend the OE radius arm mount, the BDS mounting brackets replace the OE mounts and bolt directly to the frame to increase rigidity and control of the suspension. The greasable control arm ends use giant 2.5” O.D. urethane bushings that are both internally and externally fluted to ensure long-term performance, reduced noise, and increased vibration damping.

A forged pitman arm is used to drop the drag link angle and a double reinforced track bar relocation bracket is used to match the track bar angles with the drag link angle. This corrected steering geometry combined with the 4-Link system creates a smooth but controlled feel in the steering wheel.

This complete system is rounded out with new front and rear braided, Kevlar lined, stainless steel brake lines, sway bar drop brackets, extended bump stops, steering stabilizer, and even rear exhaust relocation brackets for the diesel models.

BDS Adds 6” Kits to Extensive 08 SD Lineup

6” Suspension System – 2008 Ford F-250, F-350 Super Duty 4WD

Coldwater, MI—August 13, 2007—BDS recently introduced four new 6” lift kits for both gas and diesel 2008 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD pickups. Now Super Duty owners can choose from 10 BDS suspension systems to get the look and feel they’re looking for.

The standard 6” kits are available in rear block or rear leaf spring designs. The box kit includes two new radius arm drop brackets to put the stock radius arm back at factory angle, maintaining your stock driving characteristics. The kit also comes with a new steering stabilizer, anti-sway bar drop brackets, a dropped pitman arm for steering angle correction, a track bar relocation bracket to properly center your axle and bump stop extension. Choose the rear 5" block kit for a rear that is slightly lower than the front giving the pickup the “pre-runner” look. The rear leaf spring design is for those who want their truck level to slightly tail high.

The new 6” 4-Link Systems are also available with your choice of a rear block kit or rear leaf spring design. Why choose a 4-link system? It's simple, with 10" of wheel travel there is less than 1 degree of caster change (front axle rotation), this means control in the steering wheel over rough terrain. The stability in the steering wheel is noticeable even under normal driving conditions. In addition to four beefy control arms, these kits come with new 4-link frame mounting brackets. These aren't a drop down bracket; they actually replace the stock mounting system. Don't worry, no welding is required.
