2" Leveling Kit

BDS Suspension 2" Leveling Kit for 2019-2021 Ford Ranger 4WD

Specially designed for the new Ranger, this 2" leveling kit is engineered for additional tire clearance and improved performance without overextending the suspension or driveline angles at full suspension droop (as is the case with other top mounted spacers and taller leveling kits on the market). The issue with most other kits is they increase the overall length of the strut assembly maxing out ball joints and causing the CV shaft/boot to operate at an extreme angle leading to premature wear/failure of the components. To get around this apparent issue the BDS kit uses a 2-piece design with a smaller top mounted steel strut spacer in combination with a preload spacer. The top mounted spacer installs easily and is finished in a durable black e-coating for a clean appearance. The preload spacer installs below the spring and raises the ride height without extending the overall extended length of the strut assembly while maintaining factory ride quality allowing you to get the most out of your new Ranger's factory suspension.

Also included in this new 2" leveling kit are a pair of precision tuned rear gas shocks to further enhance your Ranger's performance. The BDS NX2 twin tube gas shocks come standard or can be upgraded to the FOX 2.0 performance series IFP shocks for race proven damper technology. 2.5" Lift Kit

BDS Suspension adds new 2.5" lift systems to their ever-expanding lineup for the Ford Ranger.

This new system builds off the factory suspension mounting points and offers improved strength, ground clearance and suspension travel. All components have been engineered in unison to ensure suspension and drivetrain geometry is maintained, rather than other " leveling kits" on the market that just throw in a top spacer which maxes out the angles at droop. The new ride height is the result of a combination of a specially designed top mounted steel fabricated strut spacer in conjunction with a preload spacer for a total 2.5" of front lift. The reason for the combination is to achieve the correct ride height without increasing the overall extended length of the strut assembly too the point of causing premature wear of the CV axle boots and other front end components. To further ensure proper drivetrain geometry the front differential is repositioned using relocation brackets. These brackets correct CV axle angle while allowing the use of the factory front skid plates. In the rear the factory shocks are replaced with your choice of precision tuned NX2 gas or FOX 2.0 performance IFP gas shocks for improved damping.

Optional accessories include the BDS performance upper control arm (UCA) kit and 1" HD rear shackle kit. This new system builds off the factory mounting points and offers improved strength, ground clearance and suspension travel. The new ride height is the result of a combination top mounted steel fabricated strut spacer along with preload spacer for a total 3.5" of front lift. The reason for the combination is to achieve the correct ride height without increasing the overall extended length of the strut assembly too the point of causing premature wear of the CV axles and other front end components. Also supplied for the front end are a pair of performance upper control arms (UCAs) designed for improved strength and suspension travel. Built from thick wall 1.5" DOM tubing, these UCAs utilize an indexed ball joint cup to reposition the upper ball joints and allowing more droop travel. 6" IFS Lift Kit

BDS builds your Ranger up right with these 6" lift kits.

These complete systems provide a lifted and leveled stance while retaining ride quality, handling and functionality. Up front a pair of 1/4" thick laser cut steel crossmembers to improve clearance and provide a solid mounting point for the OE lower control arms. The front crossmember allows integration of the factory front skid and pair with the supplied heavy duty differential skids and sway bar relocation brackets to create a rigid subframe that adds protection for vital steering and driveline components. In place of the factory steering knuckles a pair of specially designed ductile cast iron replacement knuckles are supplied to maintain proper steering geometry for ESC system compatibility. These connect to the factory steering with a pair of heavy duty replacement tie rod ends included in the kit. The front differential is repositioned with BDS's multipoint relocation bracket system to secure the front differential and keep CV axle angles at a minimum. A billet aluminum front driveshaft spacer is also supplied along with longer hardware to allow the reinstallation of the factory front driveshaft. Additional ride height on this particular kit comes from the a top mounted strut spacer designed for easy intstallation whiel retaining ride quality (FOX coilover option also available). A pair of brake line relocation brackets are used to reposition the factory lines along with a new lower control arm cam bolts for more range of motion and easier alignment.

Moving towards the rear this 6" lift system BDS supplies a heavy duty replacement transfer case crossmember used to eliminate any driveline vibrations. This crossmember also includes a carrier bearing drop to improve rear driveline angle and allow the reinstallation of the factory driveshaft. Rear lift comes from a pair of 3-5/8" steel fabricated lift blocks designed to level the stance, secured with larger black e-coated u-bolts. Rear brake line brackets and e-brake brackets are supplied and these kits are finished off with a pair of either BDS NX2 gas or FOX 2.0 IFP performance series shocks to offer improved damper performance. Take your late model Ford Ranger to the next level with the BDS 6" DSC Coilover Systems.

Built off the standard 6" lift kits, these new systems up the ante with FOX 2.5 Factory Race Series front coilovers featuring DSC (dual speed compression) adjusters to dial in the the high-speed and low-speed compression damping. While some companies build "kits" to fit larger tires, BDS Suspension prides itself in engineering complete suspension systems designed to take your vehicle's performance to the next level while retaining OE-level functionality. Case in point the (NHTSA) National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's FMVSS No.126 compliance standards requiring any aftermarket modification to not adversely effect the vehicle's electronic stability control (ESC) system performance in the event of an evasive maneuver. These new kits have been independently tested and certified compliant with these standards with up to 35" tires [as tested on 35x12.50 tires on 18x9 wheels w/ 5" BS]. Additionally through our extensive testing we've found a number of concerns that needed to be addressed to ensure durability, compatibility and functionality on the new Ranger.

Glide-Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Systems

Shotpeening increases tensile strength and reduces fatigue while lessening the material thickness required. The thinner material allows for increased wheel travel and provides a softer ride.

Bolt-style leaf alignment clamps prevent leaves from fanning out and allow the leaves to twist and flex, yielding higher articulation.

Each spring is preset using hydraulic stress to reduce fatigue in the steel and prevent sagging.

Some applications include leaf springs with steel encased rubber bushings. Other applications include blue urethane bushings.

Anti-friction pads are placed between the leaves to reduce friction within the spring and noise from metal-to-metal contact.

Tapered and roll-pointed leaves add flexibility and provides an even deflection rate. Tapering allows a smoother transition between leaves as compression takes place, resulting in a softer ride with increased wheel travel.


Pro-Ride Coil Spring Suspension Systems

Springs are either cold wound with chrome silicon 9254 or hot wound with 5160 to guarantee long life.

BDS coil springs are designed to withstand full coil bind. In other words, you can smash our coils to totally flat and they will return to their original height.

A polyester based powder coat is applied to ensure flexibility and durability.

Each spring is preset with a hydraulic stress to reduce fatigue in the steel and prevent sagging.

Shotpeening increases tensile strength and allows for maximum wheel travel without sacrificing the life of the spring.
