OVERVIEW  

Hit the trails in your 2019-2024 RAM 1500 truck after installing a 4-inch coil-over suspension lift kit featuring FOX 2.5 Performance Elite Coil-over shocks by BDS Suspension. These kits feature proprietary FOX 2.5 coil-over shocks designed specifically to bolt-on performance for increase travel and the ability to soak up the roughest terrain along with smooth on-road comfort. Designed to improve stance, performance, and capability, this kit includes everything necessary to set your truck up right with clearance for up to 35" tires

This kit takes advantage of BDS's tried and true high-clearance design for improved ground clearance, strength, and offroad protection while correcting suspension and steering geometry for great on-road handling characteristics. Up front, the kit utilizes FOX 2.5 coil-over shocks, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers along with a multipiece differential relocation brackets and heavy duty skid plates built for offroad protection. Steering geometry is corrected at the new taller ride height with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles and replacement tie rod ends allowing for ESC system compatibility. These combined with the provided sway bar drops, bump stop extensions, stainless steel braided brake lines, CV spacers, supplied hardware and more provide a comprehensive front suspension lift ready for whatever you throw at it.

In the rear this kit utilizes progressive rate Pro-Ride coil springs, rear upper control arm relocation brackets to correct pinion angle, track bar relocation bracket to correct axle positioning, bump stop extensions, and sway bar links. The rear of these kits are rounded out with a set of FOX 2.0 IFP performance series gas shocks to offer improved damper performance.

FOX Performance Elite

FOX 2.5 Performance Elite shocks offer next level performance for on-road comfort and off-road comfort capability. Tuned and ready to install right out of the box, these bolt-on 2.5-inch diameter shocks are built for abuse and packed with race-proven technology. They include a remote reservoir for additional fluid capacity to keep your shocks running cool so you can push the limits in the rough terrain. The DSC adjuster adds remarkable versatility and precise tuning with a simple twist of either two adjuster knobs, offering 10 separate low-speed and 12 high-speed compression levels, with a black anodized aluminum reservoir to increase cooling efficiency.

High Clearance Crossmembers

BDS maximizes ground clearance with their heavy duty 1/4-inch thick laser cut perfect fit crossmembers. Paired with a front skid plate system that bolts together to create a rigid subframe while adding extra protection.

IMPORTANT NOTES  
  1. Fits 4WD models only
  2. RAMs with factory 22" wheels require the larger bore knuckles due to larger wheel bearing assembly. Reference build code WPM or WPZ.
  3. Will NOT fit adjustable "air ride" suspension equipped models.
  4. 1/2" front high with the preload spacer installed. If the preload spacer isn't installed the truck will sit about 3/8" now low.
  5. Stock 18" wheels cannot be reinstalled due to steering interference. Stock 20s can be reinstalled with factory tire size
  6. Will NOT work on diesel models
  7. Will NOT fit 2019-2022 RAM 1500 Classic models, Refer to the 2018 kit listings.
  8. Will NOT fit models equipped with the Thermal Axle option. Reference build code DSK-P or check diff cover for cooling lines mounted as circled in image below.

    Excellent Lift Kit and Company

    Let me start my review with the company BDS. This was my first lift kit I did on a truck. I have a 2023 RAM Bighorn. Every staff member I spike with was super knowledgeable and friendly. I know I asked questions that may have seemed obvious to some but at no point did they make me feel uncomfortable or hesitant to ask questions.

    The also shared in my enthusiasm and excitement about purchasing a lift kit. After the purchase of the lift kit, I decided to install the kit myself with the help of a friend who is experienced in automobile work. During installation a few question arose and I called BDS for some direction. Again they didn't fail, gave me the answers I needed and made me feel even better about the purchase I just made.

    The way the customer service environment is today, customer service doesn't really exist. Companies have a hard time finding employees and good employees at that. BDS just completely blew me away with their level of customer service. They are top notch!

    As for my lift kit. I purchased the 4 Inch Lift Kit / Fox 2.5 Performance Elite Coil-Over / 2.0 Performance Series Rear Shocks and BDS Upper Control Arms. As mention about this is for a 2023 RAM 1500 Big Horn.

    Again I was not let down. After installing the lift kit I took my truck for alignment. I was amazed at how the truck felt. The truck handles better then it did stock.

    The trucks overall handling performance increased. I was expecting to have a stiff ride and banging when hitting bumps. I also added 12x10 Fuel wheels ans 35x12.50x20 Nitto Ridge Grapple Tires.I was wrong. The truck just eats bumps and pot holes. I love in Pennsylvania where the roads suck. This kit makes all of that go away. Body roll has diminished as well. The truck handles corners better and is more responsive.

    My truck is mainly used on paved roads. However, I do plan on taking it off road at some point just to try it out. There was some very minor trimming that needed to be done on the front inner wheel well liners.

    Price, so theis is an expensive kit. Bit from other lifted trucks that I have been in this kit is well worth the money. I learned with other things I have bought in the past, you pay for what you get. That applies to this kit as well. I plan on having this truck for a long time so not only did I want a kit that's going to work, but going to last.

    As far as the installation. If you don't have experience works on vehicles plan for at least 24 hours of work. This kit took my friend and I a total of 18 hours. That's with him have knowledge of works on vehicles. If we ever do another one I'm sure it will only take 10-12 hours. The direction that come with the kit are great and will guide you. We started with the rear and then went to the front. The rear only took about three hours. That's tear down and install.

    I DEFINITELY recommend not only this kit but this company. Spend the money, if you have it and I know you'll be just as happy with the results as I am.
