WHAT TYPE OF SUSPENSION IS BEST FOR TOWING?

It depends on how you use your truck, but for towing heavy trailers or carrying loads like a UTV or ATV, air suspension offers the most flexibility. Long travel, progressive rate air springs help cushion the load and allow you to adjust ride height and support based on how much weight you're carrying. Just as important, our system is designed for when you're not towing or when you leave the pavement, because the air springs are not restricted by bottom mounts, they can run at 0 PSI and move freely, preserving suspension travel, ride quality, and offroad capability.

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT AIR SUSPENSION KIT?

For BDS towing air bag kits, it is really simple. Every kit is designed specifically for each truck, and the other major factor is your lift height; all the way from stock to 8 inches. You'll choose the one based on lift height, and then add a compressor system so that it is easy to control with the controller or app.

HOW DOES AIR SUSPENSION ELIMINATE REAR SQUAT?

When the truck squats/sags, our compressor system inflates air springs over the rear axle, causing them to extend and push the truck back to a level position. It does not increase GVWR or payload, it simply restores ride height and stability.

CAN I STILL GO OFF-ROAD WITH AIR SUSPENSION?

Yes, but only if the system is designed correctly. Off-roading requires full suspension travel so the axle can move up and down over bumps, dips, and uneven terrain. Some air suspension systems restrict the bottom of the air spring, which can limit droop travel and can stretch the air spring beyond its limits until failure. Because we live and breathe off-road, every kit is designed with a lower cradle that allows the air spring to move freely through its full range of travel, preserving articulation, durability, and ride quality both on and off the trail. Most importantly, if you have a lifted truck, no problem. Our kits fit 0-8 inches of lift.

WHAT MAKES THESE AIR BAG KITS DIFFERENT FROM TRADITIONAL ONES?

We've specifically designed our air bag kits to have longer travel and more air volume to provide more cushion and ultimately comfort while driving. We do not mount the bottom of the air spring in any of our kits, giving full droop travel of the axle, and the ability go back to a stock state, where you are also able to run the air springs at 0 PSI.

HOW LONG TO INSTALL AN AIR SUSPENSION KIT?

Most air suspension kits can be installed in 2–4 hours using basic hand tools. Our systems use vehicle-specific brackets, integrate cleanly with lift kits, and feature a simplified compressor mounting system to make installation straightforward. If you prefer professional installation, any authorized BDS dealer can handle the job, bringing experience not only with air suspension, but with the full line of BDS suspension products.
