STEP 1: Choose lift height

2.5" Coilover Lift Kit

Take your late model Chevy Trail Boss or GMC AT4 to the next level with one of the BDS 2.5" high clearance coilover systems.

These kits net 2.5" lift on a Trail Boss/AT4, however final ride height is similar to a GM1500 with 4" of lift At the heart of these new systems are a pair of precision tuned FOX 2.5 factory race series remote reservoir coilovers engineered to outperform on and offroad as they soak up the terrain. These coilovers are preset for the correct lift height right out of the box to provide optimal performance and direct bolt-in replacement for the factory strut assemblies. They feature a smooth bore and honed seamless alloy body, 7/8" hardened steel carbon shaft, Eibach coil springs and black anodized machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum mounts along with remove reservoirs with mounting brackets. The reservoir is available with optional DSC (dual speed compression) adjustment technology built in to allow for easy adjustment of the vehicle's suspension compression dampening so you can dial in the ideal ride performance to soak up the bumps, both large and small. Adjustments can be made by simply twisting the knobs located on the end of the reservoir. To go along with the coilovers are a pair of specially designed 1/4" thick laser cut high clearance crossmembers to maximize clearance and provide a solid mounting point for the OE lower control arms. These paired with the 3-piece heavy duty front skid plate system create a rigid subframe while adding protection for vital steering and driveline components. In place of the factory steering knuckles a pair of specially designed ductile iron replacement steering knuckles are supplied to maintain proper steering geometry for ESC system compatibility. These connect to the factory steering with a pair of heavy duty replacement tie rod ends included in the kit. The front differential is repositioned with BDS's multipoint relocation bracket system tying into the frame and control arm pockets to further secure the front differential to keep CV axle angles at a minimum. A billet aluminum front driveshaft spacer is also supplied along with longer hardware to allow the reinstallation of the factory driveshaft. A pair of BDS-branded sway bar drop brackets used to correct the operating angle of the factory sway bar as well as created a strong brace between the rear crossmember and the frame. Rounding out the front of this kit are new lower control arm cam bolts to allow alignment and a weld-in frame reinforcement plate for extra strength.

In the rear of this 2.5" lift system, the factory block is replaced with a 3" lift block and longer u-bolts to lift and level the stance. Also included, BDS supplies brake line and ABS line brackets allow the use of factory brake lines. Specially tuned FOX 2.0 IFP performance series gas shocks are supplied to round out the rear of these kits. All kits come finished in a durable textured black powdercoat and sent with all hardware packs to complete the install along with step-by-step installation instructions.

All BDS kits include Factory Protection Plus for the ultimate extended warranty to include BDS's No Fine Print Warranty, FMVSS No.126 (ESC System) compliance certification and a 5year-100mile drivetrain warranty to match the dealer.

4" Lift Kit

Chevy Trail Boss/ GMC AT4

FMVSS No.126 compliant

Go even further with your Trail Boss or AT4 with these 4" IFS systems. Engineered for not only offroad capability with clearance for up to 37s, this kit maintains on-road handling and has been confirmed compliant with FMVSS 126 (ESC System) standards. This kit is designed to net 4" of lift from the factory ride height (which will sit similar to a 6" on non-Trail Boss/AT4 trucks). At the heart of this BDS 4" IFS system are a pair of 1/4" thick laser cut high clearance crossmembers to maximize clearance and provide a solid mounting point for the OE lower control arms. These paired with the 3-piece heavy duty front skid plate system create a rigid subframe while adding protection for vital steering and driveline components. In place of the factory steering knuckles a pair of specially designed ductile iron replacement steering knuckles are supplied to maintain proper steering geometry for ESC system compatibility while also allowing a wider range of wheel fitment options to include factory 20" wheels. These connect to the factory steering with a pair of heavy duty replacement tie rod ends included in the kit. The front differential is repositioned with BDS's multipoint relocation bracket system tying into the frame and control arm pockets to further secure the front differential to keep CV axle angles at a minimum. Additional ride height on this particular kit comes from a set of top mounted steel fabricated strut spacers to mount onto the factory strut assemblies. A pair of BDS-branded sway bar drop brackets used to correct the operating angle of the factory sway bar as well as created a strong brace between the rear crossmember and the frame. Also supplied are new lower control arm cam bolts to allow alignment and a weld-in frame reinforcement plate for extra strength. In the rear lift blocks and longer u-bolts lift and level the stance and your choice of NX2 gas or FOX 2.0 performance series gas shocks are supplied to round out this kit allowing room for 35-37" tires to be installed.

Glide-Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Systems

Shotpeening increases tensile strength and reduces fatigue while lessening the material thickness required. The thinner material allows for increased wheel travel and provides a softer ride.

Bolt-style leaf alignment clamps prevent leaves from fanning out and allow the leaves to twist and flex, yielding higher articulation.

Each spring is preset using hydraulic stress to reduce fatigue in the steel and prevent sagging.

Some applications include leaf springs with steel encased rubber bushings. Other applications include blue urethane bushings.

Anti-friction pads are placed between the leaves to reduce friction within the spring and noise from metal-to-metal contact.

Tapered and roll-pointed leaves add flexibility and provides an even deflection rate. Tapering allows a smoother transition between leaves as compression takes place, resulting in a softer ride with increased wheel travel.


Pro-Ride Coil Spring Suspension Systems

Springs are either cold wound with chrome silicon 9254 or hot wound with 5160 to guarantee long life.

BDS coil springs are designed to withstand full coil bind. In other words, you can smash our coils to totally flat and they will return to their original height.

A polyester based powder coat is applied to ensure flexibility and durability.

Each spring is preset with a hydraulic stress to reduce fatigue in the steel and prevent sagging.

Shotpeening increases tensile strength and allows for maximum wheel travel without sacrificing the life of the spring.
